I learned to dance at this club with high school friends of mine. I often ate at this club for Saturday lunch. This club surely served the german community
well. Too bad it doesn’t exist anymore

My father, HEINZ POHL, was a member at this German Club. The members bought a property in the country, I believe it was north of Oshawa on Harmony Road where they had a pool and picnic areas.
As a kid my father would take his new wife there dancing … and drag my brother and I along. If it’s the place I remember, there was an upper balcony where we would watch the couples waltzing below … and my brother threw beer nuts. We were horribly behaved!
