  1. LOVE IT! Toronto in its glory days. I lived right on Mt. Pleasant as a baby, across from Secombe house publishing and Hudson Plumbing. A better time in many ways and one of hope for the future.

    I do agree with your feelings about it being a better time. I don’t think the feeling is just nostalgia, either. The city, while bigger and flashier and noisier, has lost a good deal of real value along the way. You can definitely see it in some of these images.

  2. This must have been taken prior to July 24 1976 as I believe that was the day the streetcars stopped running on Mt. Pleasant.
